CEDARTOWN MEMORIAL DAY BICYCLE AND ROLLER BLADE RIDE ANNUAL EVENT

The 2008 Cedartown Memorial Day Bicycle and Roller Blade Ride, will be on Monday , May 26th, 2008 hosted by Georgia Rails Into Trails Society (GRITS).  This will be the Fourth annual bike ride to start and finish in Cedartown.  This is a fun event and not a race which consists of 20 mile to 100 mile ride or a roller blade option.  Planned routes will accomodate the novice to the elite participants.  Options will be part of the Silver Comet Trail including friendly rural county roads, elevation variable, rolling hills, beautiful scenery alone with a helpful volunteer staff.

Trail segments maintained by Friends of the Silver Comet Trail

Proceeds from the Cedartown Memorial Day and the Rockmart Labor Day Bike Ride will be used by Georgia Rails Into Trails Society (GRITS) volunteer Trail Rangers to purchase equipment in order to maintain and beautify the Silver Comet Trail through picturesque Polk County, Georgia.
